In this staged performance, watch actress Sophie Kauer and the Oslo Philharmonic unfold the story of Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique right before your eyes and ears. You will witness Berlioz’s obsession take shape in real time and hear how an orchestra can simulate a racing pulse, the thud of a severed head dropping into a basket and the distant laughter of ghouls and ghosts. It is chaotic, funny, unsettling, and beautiful - a 19th-century "concept album" of sorts about a crush that got completely out of hand.
